About SwitchedGames
NARBE LLC operates SwitchedGames.org to support an ongoing NARBE Foundation initiative. The site provides a free-access, curated collection of accessible games and related resources developed and maintained by NARBE with credited collaborators. NARBE Foundation is a separate organization supporting the mission and running the donation and switch-kit programs linked here.
These terms concern SwitchedGames.org. Play links take you to games or Benny's Hub hosted on narbehouse.github.io. External sites, services and individual software components may have their own terms and licenses. The Privacy Policy explains the information involved in using this site.
Use the site responsibly
Please use the site lawfully and respect other people and their work. Do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, impersonate another person or organization, or send abusive, unlawful or infringing material through its contact and submission routes.
These site-use rules do not restrict activities allowed by an applicable open-source license or by law. Please report broken links, accessibility barriers or suspected misuse through our contact address below.
Availability and recreational use
Games and resources may change, be unavailable, or contain errors. Compatibility depends on your device, browser and input setup. We cannot promise uninterrupted operation or that every game will suit every access need. Where a game offers an export or backup feature, keep your own copies of work you want to preserve.
SwitchedGames and the linked switch kits are for recreation and computer interaction. They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent a medical condition. Related communication tools are supplemental and are not a substitute for a prescribed augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device or advice from a qualified professional.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site and resources are provided as available, without a promise of fitness for a particular purpose. Any warranty terms in an applicable software license also apply to that software. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, warranties or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Code, creative work and branding
Check the license supplied with the particular code or component you want to reuse. The NARBE House repository's source license identifies MIT-licensed software and includes a separate branding notice. Some components have different notices: for example, the linked Bowling directory includes a GNU GPLv3 license, and other components carry third-party license notices.
The applicable open-source license controls the permissions and obligations for covered material, including any copyright, license, source or attribution requirements. These terms do not replace those licenses or add restrictions to the rights they grant. Do not assume that every item on SwitchedGames is MIT-licensed merely because it is free to play or linked from an open-source project.
Names, logos, artwork, photographs, music and contributed material may have separate rights and permissions. SwitchedGames, also presented as Switched Games and SwitchedGames.org, is NARBE LLC product branding. A source-code license does not by itself grant trademark rights or permission to suggest endorsement. Third-party marks and contributors' work remain subject to their respective owners' rights; featuring work in the collection does not transfer ownership to NARBE LLC.
Sharing levels and collaborating
The site links to Google Forms for contact, level submissions and collaboration proposals. Levels are reviewed before they are added. New games are developed through agreed collaborations, with accessibility testing by switch users and a NARBE quality review before entering the collection. Collaborators are credited. A proposal or submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
Send only work you own or have the necessary permission to share. Identify third-party material, its license, and required credits. Do not include private information about another person without appropriate permission.
You retain ownership of your contributions, subject to existing licenses and any separate agreement. These terms do not create an automatic ownership transfer or a blanket license to your work. Permission for publication, any needed editing or distribution, and the agreed credit should be settled in the relevant form or a separate collaboration agreement before publication. Posting these terms does not establish permission for earlier submissions.
Other sites, donations and programs
Game hosts, Google Forms, partner sites and other destinations operate under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not control every external service or promise that an external link will remain available. Review the destination's terms before submitting information or making a payment.
Donations through the linked or embedded Givebutter campaign support NARBE Foundation. The Foundation is responsible for its programs, and Givebutter and its payment services handle checkout. Newsletter and switch-kit applications go through the Foundation's own routes. Direct questions about donations, receipts, refunds, eligibility or program availability to the Foundation and the relevant provider. These website terms do not create a refund policy or guarantee tax treatment.

Updates will be posted here with a revised last-updated date. These terms do not change an existing open-source license or a separate signed agreement merely because the page is updated.
